Bob’s River Place is located in Branford, Florida. It is this private swimming hole on the Swannee River with a touch of a waterpark feel to it. Now even though it is privately owned it is open to the public. Truth be told, I thought we would spend a couple of hours here and then go home. Boy was I wrong! We spent the whole day there and didn’t want to leave. The kids made me promise that we would go back this summer.
For starters, they make life so easy. I just parked my car up to my very own grill and picnic table. I was already told by a friend that Bob’s is in the middle of nowhere & to make sure that we packed food because there is nowhere to grab lunch. I just pulled my cooler out of the car and set up shop. The kids were able to grab food any time & that made everybody happy.

I read that they have tubing, so I made sure to grab our floats. However, I was super excited to see that there was an air station available so it made filling the tubes quick and easy. They even had floats available for anyone to borrow free of charge. It’s all based on the honor system.

The kids absolutely loved the little water pads that circled the park. They were safe & if they fell off it was just into the river and they hopped right back on.

There is this huge pier that you can jump from. Trust me looks are deceiving. This is a lot higher up in person. My daughter absolutely loved this. She did it several times. Super fun.

There are several of these treehouses with rope swings attached. You just pick the height from which you would like to swing and away you go. I am not even going to lie. I was too chicken to do this one. Maybe next time.

They also have these water hammocks. You have people on the ends that swing you around until you can’t hold on any longer and fall out. My son was a HUGE fan of this feature.

One activity that I thought was REALLY neat was that karaoke. This was my daughter’s favorite part because she absolutely loves to sing. They had tons of songs to choose from and they were all family friendly.
They have water volleyball available as well, but we did not make it to that game as there was just so much to do.

There are also small beach type areas to relax in which allowed for us to take a moment & catch our breath.

If you are looking for a place to have some good clean family summer fun, then Bob’s is the place to be. If you are interested in visiting I do recommend that you are able to swim and just be very aware of yourself and your family as there are no lifeguards on duty. This is more of a “Swim at your own risk” type of situation. The current is a little strong and can carry you away if you’re not paying attention. I learned that during the tubing portion of our stay.
Happy Swimming!
