Rainbow Springs is located in Dunnellon, Florida. It is one of Florida’s many natural springs. While this park does have 2 nice swimming areas (one for confident swimmers & one for babies), there is a lot more to do than just swim.
The start of the paved trail takes you through an area that houses a couple of small waterfalls. Something that we do not regularly see here in Florida due to the lack of mountains.
The off road trail trails take you through a small butterfly garden, an abandoned zoo, and then through regular hiking trails.
With so much to see & do, this is easily a trip to keep the family entertained all day long.
